Out Of Bounds – E264 – Alyssa Gonzalez and Treehouse Cyclery

Hello, hello, hello and welcome back to a brand-new episode of The Out Of Bounds podcast, right here on The Out of Collective Network. This week on the program we sit-down with Alyssa Gonzalez, one of the founders of Treehouse Cyclery. After moving to Boulder to get her Masters in 2016, Alyssa’s eyes were opened to an outdoors world she had never experienced quite the same before. And it was there she’d meet more like minded creatives in design and videography, eventually landing a job for about 3 years with Outside Magazine. But like a lot of people, the pandemic really spurned an interest and opportunity to get into skiing and biking. She shares her experience of working at Outside. Alyssa is very open about the challenges of growth, Web3, nfts, inclusivity & diversity there, and what eventually lead her to leave and seek out another path. That path and her passion for bikes has led to her and her business partner and bike mechanic, Kolby Clements, to open a new shop in Denver!
As much as it will be a place for sales and service, Alyssa shares her intent to make it a space for community. No elitism, and competition to be better than. Just a home for everyone to come as they are and ride bikes. Listen now to learn more about Alyssa Gonzalez and Treehouse Cyclery set to open this Labor Day. As always do not forget you can also find this interview and so much more on our YouTube channel, so be sure to like and subscribe.
