Out of Bounds – E240 – Andrew Drummond & Monte McIndoe – Ski The Whites and Last Skier Standing
Hello, hello, hello and welcome back to a brand-new episode of The Out Of Bounds podcast, right here on The Out of Collective Network. This week on the show Adam is joined by Andrew Drummond and Monte McIndoe. Andrew is the owner of Ski The Whites and with Monte’s help they have founded the most challenging competition in skiing. It’s called Last Skier Standing. It is an endurance test like no other. The basis is simple enough, skin one lap up and ski down each hour, until there are no competitors left. Now being held at Black Mountain of Maine, a new venue in it’s 4th year, the course is 1200 ft of vert per lap. The challenge is strength, endurance, toughness, mental fortitude and to win, definitely a few screws loose. Adam chats with the boys about what it’s going to take to top last year’s winning 65 hours/laps. That is double Everest level vert on no sleep. They also discuss the change of venue and talk about who the competitors to watch are. Thanks to these gentlemen for organizing one of the most badass events of the ski season and we appreciate them taking the time to share it with us on the show. For updates and results of the race be sure to tune in and follow along via Instagram at @Ski_The-Whites , And to learn more enjoy this full interview wherever you listen to your pods and watch along as well on YouTube!
