This episode we sat down with Atomics head boot designer, Matthew Manser, to chat about their new Hawx Ultra XTD 130 flex boot in a true 22.5 and 23.5 shell fit. Why does this matter? Because a boot this stiff has never existed for women outside of ski racing. The right boots can make or break your experience on the mountain and it can be a huge pain to find the right boot, especially when womens boots have previously had a glass ceiling for flex, innovation and performance. We also chat about finding the right boot for you, what you should look for in a boot fitter, why the industry hasn’t released a boot like this before, and what it means for women’s skiing in the future.
