Out of Bounds – E261 – Hank Stowers

Hello, hello, hello and welcome back to a brand-new episode of The Out Of Bounds podcast, right here on The Out of Collective Network. This week on the program we welcome Hank Stowers to the show.
Hank (they/he/she) is a freeride skier based in Portland, Oregon. You might remember Hank from their appearance on Big Stick Energy last summer and/or from their recent film project called ‘Maritime Air’. Hank is a freeride fixtureon Mt Hood (typically known for racing and park skiing). With a passion for equity and inclusion in snow sports, they cofounded Open Slopes PDX, which runs local BIPOC and queer shred meet ups. Hank shares his connection to Portland, inclusivity issues in snow sports, using skiing as a creative outlet and finding the stories they want to tell.
Hank’s positivity and enthusiasm is helping up winter sports to more people in the right way. In addition to Hank’s organizational work they plan to use film to make interesting and reflective content on what the future can and should be.
