Care Less, Do More. – E12 – Mark Abma

Mark Abma, born in Langley, B.C. not exactly a town where skiers are born, has been a professional skier for 23 years. His career started out as a freestyle skier and he got in with the Japanese Magazines to do paid photo shoots. They eventually invited him to go to Japan for his first big air comp when he was 19 years old where he competed against Eric Pollard, Mike Nick and others. Since then, he’s competed in slopestyle, skier cross and half pipe which eventually led him to filming with Poor Boys Productions and Matchstick Productions for countless years winning best male performance, best natural air and best powder. These days, Abma is still filming with MSP and keeps himself busy with side projects from rebuilding old snow cats to amazing and inspiring unconventional and funky construction projects..

Where did I get the name Care Less, Do More? It’s a thought that I have often meaning care less about what people think of you, about the noise, about the chirping on social media and just do more. Get outside, put your phones down and do more.
