Out Of Bounds – E213 – Caitlin Curran Bernstein’s impact on the cycling community

This week on The Out Of Bounds Podcast, Adam welcome cyclist Caitlin Curran Bernstein to the show.
Fresh off the podium from last week’s Rooted Vermont gravel race, Caitlin discusses her own roots skiing and riding bikes while growing up in VT.
She now splits time between living and cycling out west in Reno and at home in The Green Mountain State , balancing training and her day job in the tech space. And while she loves riding and racing mountain and gravel bikes, her passion and riding at an elite level comes in the form of cyclocross where she will be competing in the World Cup come this October.
Caitlin and Adam discuss training regimens, the impact a skiing background has on cycling, and what it means to really be a pro. She wants to use her platform for positive impact on younger riders and mentoring in the sport, but still wants to ride at high level, just not as a full-time job. Are you a pro if you’re not making $ doing it? Sometimes it doesn’t matter as long as there’s a maple creemee at the end of the day.
