Out of Bounds – E274 – Get Laid Off and Go Explore w/ Andrew Fish
Hello, hello, hello and welcome back to a brand-new episode of The Out Of Bounds podcast, right here on The Out of Collective Network. Our guest this week on the show is skier, surfer and recently laid off Andrew Fish. After growing up on the East Coast with a love of the ocean and surfing, college and ski racing took Andrew to Boulder. What followed was a 10+ year career in renewable energy. That all ended last February when Andrew was laid off at Rivian, but really it was just the beginning! What followed was the best winter of his life, what he dubbed his Eat Pray Love Ski Tour. His travels have since shifted to surfing, going from chasing storms to chasing swells from Canada to Panama. He talks about that balance between planning and going with the flow, and the highlights of his summer and winter seasons. We find out what changed in him, will it stick, and what’s next! Life’s sudden curveballs can knock you down or can lead to soul searching and new found paths. Andrew following his passions is such a great example of that. Check out his website, “Surf is Swell”, follow him on Instagram and listen to the full episode now wherever you get your pods. And as always do not forget you can also find this interview and so much more on our YouTube channel, so be sure to like and subscribe.
