Big Stick Energy – E22 – Injury, Comebacks, and Progression Mindsets – Natalie Allport

Natalie found snowboarding at age 12, and by 17 was competing on the Canadian slopestyle Jr National team before advancing to the World Cup circuit. Always wanting to be an Olympic athlete, she faced a serious nagging injury in the 2014 Olympics year, which began a period of struggle where Natalie questioned leaving competition altogether. She is an advocate for mental health in sport and provides some insight into her mindset throughout this episode. While she no longer competes in snowboarding events, she has competed internationally for Crossfit, and has rebuilt her relationship with snowboarding to find love for the sport again.
