SEASON 2 THE PRETTY GOOD TELEMARK SHOW EPISODE 2 Adam X Sauerwein
Fischer Skis has been a long-time partner of the Out of Collective and decided to celebrate our renewed partnership by having us out to Austria for Team Days. During our time, we spent time looking at products from the future, skiing with the athletes, and touring the incredible Fischer Skis factory. Let’s dive into it.

First and foremost, I couldn’t have thought up a more beautiful setting to play host to all of us. We spent our time in Kappl and Ischgl throughout the week, and even though the snow was light, the vibe was high.
Spring skiing conditions for day two allowed all of the athletes to film some VHS edits on their own. They were broken up into teams of four. The task was to have members of each team carry around an old-school camera and get their own clips in a unique format. These were to be edited at the end of the day by the El Flamingo team, and at the end of the second day, be shown to the group for voting. The winning team would be rewarded with a cash prize, to be used to help fund their individual ski projects. We spent some time following teams around and capturing the behind-the-scenes of the process.

Fischer has a ton in store for the future and the athletes gave feedback and perspective to the product team. Fischer has always taken their athletes’ feedback into consideration and will continue to do so going forward.
Get ready for some factory behind-the-scenes shots that have really never been seen before. For me, it was crazy to get to walk around the active factory while everyone was on the clock and get to see firsthand how a major ski manufacturer makes their product from A-Z.
