Out Of Bound – E205 – Jaber Solo
You did your part navigating your way here, so we’ll do our part and give you the latest recaps! This week’s edition of The Out Of Bounds Podcast here on The Out Of Collective Network is a special one. Our fearless leader, Adam Jaber, goes free solo, handling this week’s pod by his lonesome. He will give us some hot takes on gear he loves, gear he hates, and wraps up taking questions straight from @wfg_den ‘s cup. What that even means, stayed tuned. This episode is short and sweet so let’s make sure the recap follows suit, and let’s get into it!
The Good and Not So Good, Goods
First on the block is Adam’s new wheels, a Revel Rail 29. Bottom line bigger boys need bigger bikes. Adam gives run down on specs of it with all the numbers and abbreviations of bike shit, I don’t personally understand. End result a borderline overconfident ride, that crushes.
We also get a sneak peak into a couple skis and boots headed your way this winter. The Fischer 96, maybe the most underated ski from Fischer in a long time. It’s tortionally stiff enough to gun it fast, but still soft enough to be a fun freeridey ski that won’t punish you. Also a first look at the new K2 Mindbender 99TI. Despite sick graphics, it’s too much metal, and a hooky funky tail. Not a full hate, but a little weird.
What are the next steps for next year’s boots? The Tecnica Zero G Peak is super light. Great walk mode, and durable in a touring boot. The fit is super low profile, but still comfortable. Could use a upgrade from the stock liner but that could be said for most off the rack boots. Those are just a few hot looks of what’s new.
