Welcome back! It has been a couple weeks but Coffee and Van Chats are back in the pod recap cycle. This week’s guest is Travis Longfellow. Travis is a team director, business guy, and bike racer. Oh, and he’s 19 years old. How this kid has already done so much in his life is remarkable. Let’s dig into the interview with our host John Croom.
Hustler. That’s the word that comes to mind from this interview with Travis. He dropped everything and drove to Yosemite to help with a bike camp and live in his car. He’s dropped everything to move in with his mentor Tyler, @the_vegan_cyclist, learning to edit and create content. Now he’s dropping everything again to go try and make it cycling in Europe for road racing. Oh and he’s still managing a cycling team, Ride Bike Racing, and still helping create the YouTube series “The Impossible Route” as the production manager. What is “The Impossible Route”? It is just what it sounds like. It’s a multi-episode video series that follows cyclists embarking on cycling’s toughest routes.
Honestly, it’s hard to keep up with everything Travis is doing in the interview, I can only imagine it in real life. He has an insane resume for a kid who has never had to make a resume. John ends every interview asking guests who they’d get a cup of coffee with. I won’t tell you who Travis says. But I will tell you, Travis does not need coffee. He is amped up on life and cycling. Can’t wait to see what’s next from this guy. Enjoy the full listen below!
