Welcome to the Out of Collective Podcast, where we explore the who, what, where, and why of the outdoor industry. Marion Haerty is a 4x Freeride World Tour Champion (2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021), Natural Selection Tour Champion (2024), and most recently the gold medal winner as the wild card in Freeride World Tour’s 2025 Val Thorens Pro. 

After growing up around Grenoble, France, she moved to Chamonix in 2017 to learn more about the high alpine. For several years she competed on the world cup circuit in slopestyle until she made her first snowboard descent at 6100m altitude on Lobuche in the Himalayan range. She later wrote a children’s book in memory “Lobuche, a mountain of friendship” but also to donate funds to Sherpa women who opened their doors and hearts to her during the climb.

Finding freeride, the sport allowed her to find peace and challenge in the mountains. Going off the beaten track and always in search of sensations of freedom, snowboarding leaves her with an infinite field of creativity to live her next adventures. Her driving force is the exploration of new horizons; immersing herself in new cultures, surpassing herself but also setting out to discover others and herself.
