This week on the program we are honored to be joined by self-proclaimed professional ski bum Josh Daiek. Somehow after doing the “ski thing” in Tahoe for the past 21 years, Josh still might be the most underrated skier out there. We get to know Josh and learn about more than just his skiing. He gives us a look into his day job as a carpenter, the evolution of South Lake post covid boom, and the demise of ski bum lifestyle. Lucky for Josh the stars aligned for him at 29 and he’s spent the past decade in a fruitful partnership with Salomon living the dream. The passion runs true from his early days hustling comps for 10 years out of pocket all the way to his latest project, “Mountain State 2.0”. It’s the second installment in essentially a love letter to Nevada and skiing the Eastern Sierras.
