Out of Bound – Episode 210 – Louie Vito
This week on the Out of Bounds podcast, our guest is professional snowboarder, Louie Vito (@louievito). The dude has been killing the game in the halfpipe for over 15 years including two Olympics and six medals at X-Games.
Louie had 12 years between Olympics and competed for Italy in 2022. He and Adam discuss what the experience was like this time around competing for a new flag, challenges of covid, and what Meek Mill jams get him hyped up to attack the pipe.
Far from a one-dimensional athlete or human, the conversation really runs the gamut. In no particular order, they cover: Dancing with the Stars, who has a better shoe game, sobriety & fitness, and the business of snowboarding. It’s not all about standing on a podium if no one wants to watch you ride. A little media training, staying true to yourself, and finding partnerships instead of sponsorship, are some of the keys to his success and longevity, that he lets us in on.
What’s next for Louie Vito? Will a run at the 2026 games in Milan be a fitting farewell tour? Who knows. What we do know is the full pod is out now, so go listen! And until next week FO&RYB!
